Good point. Well, in the show's (flimsy) defence, the flashback's orange filters didn't bother me so much, because there was supposedly a roaring fire there (right?). And I get why they'd need blue filters for the roof-top scene. And it's a very campy show. But Allan Hyde looked dead. Not the good vampire-dead sort, just dead, like he'd keeled over before the sun was even up. Alexander Skarsgard looked blue. Blue. God damn, turn up the contrast, do some Hollywood thingamagig, the man is blue. It doesn't look camp and edgy-wink-wink. it looks bad. I'm fully convinced the reason Eric looks so pretty when he rises is because suddenly there is proper light (the real sun?) hitting his face and you can see more than a blue blot, like eye and lip colour and so on. I really need to stop hijacking this thread for my ranting.
Aw, I like present-day-Godric's looks (though he needs to stop taking fashion hints from Jesus. Pilgrim sandals, Godric, really?!). Young(ish) Godric looked so young I was a bit creeped out. I've noticed Allan Hyde look years younger when he, er, makes facial expressions and such. Godric looked mature. Me likes.
And oh, thanks so much! I really enjoyed writing The Child. Damn, I thought I was beyond the whole OTP thing by now. But damn, OTP. Wrote a new one, too. Shameless self-pimp is shameless. A darker freakier cornier edgier take on the explosion. *shrug* I don't know, I don't know, it had to be done. I'll keep telling myself that.
