How to improve Misfits sensibly

I DO NOT like Curtis's new bitch. She's a horrible character, and I can't understand why the writers of Misfits would render the other female characters completely useless only to add such an irritating character to the mix.

And I generally don't like this second season, which is a lot less well-written than the first. There are some good things, good ideas, but as a whole, it's rather a disappointment.

So, with every last drop of my usual arrogance, here's how I would have made Misfits better:

-Bitch has to go. In fact, she dies from heart failure all right, and eco-activist Ollie stays. I liked Ollie, he was a nice change, and he reminded me of X-Men Evolution's Nightcrawler (teleportation power, cute goofiness and sunny disposition). I would have loved to see his interaction, all smiley-faced as he is, with the other darker characters. Okay, so maybe it wouldn't have been good for the female quotas, what with representation and equality and all that, but I much prefer two badass and solid female characters to a dozen of uninteresting and irritating ones.

-Superhoodie, following one of my roommates' first theory about him, would actually be Nathan's dad. That would have been awesome -- you wouldn't expect a fifty-something guy running around on a bicycle, doing parkour and kicking ass, so the surprise would have been greater, plus his reason for saving them (and especially Nathan) all the time would have been a lot better than "I come from the future and I'll give you cryptic clues instead of just shutting my trap and doing my savior job in the shadows because that would be far too helpful. I won't give you any chance to be active and sort shit out by yourselves either, because I like making you my monkeys. By the way Alisha, we will be together in the future so it means we should be together. What do you mean, 'tautology'?"

-If Superhoodie remains Simon from the future, then when he dies Alisha becomes invested of his mission and tries to sort shit out by herself. Except she doesn't really know how and she can't tell the others either. She finally becomes kickass and interesting, like Barbara Gordon turning into Oracle. And sometimes, since she doesn't know how to make things better exactly, she could get the opposite effect instead and fuck up badly. Characters fucking up is what makes great stories, people, especially when they actually mean well. And then they suffer. Oh yes. And characters suffering make *awesome* stories, trust the evil scriptwriter that I am. >:D

-Heck, Alisha can follow Utena's example and she can become Superhoodie herself! Training Sarah Connor-style and shit. Screw Prince Charming, who needs one when you can handle stuff by yourself and be empowered and responsible for once?
There are so many ways to make this character interesting, as opposed to a fucking damsel in distress -- nay, even worse than a damsel in distress, since she puts herself in danger just to get future!Simon to save her. Baaaaah. What kind of bullshit is that?

-I would love to see Curtis go all Superman-nazi on them, like, goody-two-shoes to the extreme who can't understand shades of grey, and fucking up with time paradoxes to make things the way he wants them to be. I also liked the theory of some people in the fandom during the first season, that Simon would actually turn supervillain because of all the miscomprehension that he's victim of, and Nathan would be the leader of  their group of superheroes, the "good" ones. An insufferable and childish leader who tries to become responsible and generally a better person  while striving and screwing up most of the time, facing a villain who had no choice but to be one -- oooh I like the sound of that. Don't you?

Also, I would have made Nathan gay for Simon fer reals.

...Just sayin'.
