French rap music playlist -- HEY, COME BACK!

A very short playlist with French rap and R'n'B, because I'm not exactly an expert. I might make another playlist with reaaaaaally really old songs in French, too (like, more from the 1940s to the 1960s), and then I'll be done bothering you with French music.

French rap and R'n'B are actually interesting, because they're the most popular genre nowadays in France, and they're representative of the different influences from all the immigrant populations in the country, including muslim countries.

Songs list:

1. L'Empire du Côté Obscur - IAM (music only, no video available)

A song from my adolescence -- it's all about Star Wars. Yeah. I love it because it's epic, and the musical arrangements are really cool.

2. Solaar Pleure - MC Solaar (original music video)***

A song about the apocalypse, and faith, and God. Something like that. Again, I loved the epicness about it, and the music video is nice.

3. La Boulette - Diam's (original music video)

Popular French female rapper. Nothing much to say, I actually think she's super dumb and irritating, but I kind of like the song, so you're fine if you don't understand French. ^^

4. Petit Bonhomme Vert - Les Lascars (original music video)***

Song from the original soundtrack of a very fun French animated movie called "Lascars" that was made recently (last year, or the year before, I don't remember). The very ironic lyrics are about "hardcore" gangsters from the suburbs going vanilla, being polite to policemen and crossing the streets only when the pedestrian lights go green ("petit bonhomme vert" literally means "little green man"). It's a hugely funny song, and I like the music too.

5. C'est Chelou - Zaho (original music video)***

This is one of the R'n'B songs that have North-African music influences; the mix of the two works for me in this song. I find the music video funny too ^^

6. Angela - Saian Supa Crew (original music video)***

Other musical influences, from the tropical islands that belong to French territory, West Indies I think. The Saian Supa Crew is a very good a capella band, too.

Oué, Singstar me rend faible, je sais.
Ouala.
