You know, I actually really hate when people play with food, in any work of fiction. I know it's supposed to be sexy, but the thought of eating off someone disgusts me -- I mean, stuff like chantilly or chocolate sauce are fine, in small quantities, it's great, even, but food like sushi eaten off a naked body...? Sacrilege! Blasphemy! I am something of a purist, I guess; when I say "food porn", it's really "porn about food", not "porn *with* food". I really wanted this fic to be about the pleasure that food can bring, because in the "porn with food" situation, food becomes an accessory to sex. In this fic, I wanted food to be more like a metaphor for sex, and to be at the core of the love story between Sherlock and John, like a catalyst ^^
