I loved it! It was bright and brilliant and Judi Dench was fucking fantastic. Moneypenny needs to do ALL THE THINGS, Craig was amazing in that gritty, rundown sort of way, and Ben Wishaw's Q — well, look at that asofterworld banner of yours, it is spot-on.

(He's currently blowing everything away in the Hour. I LOVE THIS SHOW, MAN. SO MUCH.)

There's not a scene that isn't visually so fucking gorgeous it makes me want to cry. Everybody is brilliant, I fell head over heels for Camille (which, fuck, she's going to get hurt so badly in the end, because Freddie has the passion of the Hour and a massive torch for Bel, and they're going to crash and burrrrrrrn), and the social issues and the way they're considered and represented are fascinating — sexism! racism! homophobia! gosh. How do you tackle issues like that so flawlessly, without a single note ringing false?

Romola is really what carries the show for me. She is stunning, and her Bel is made of pure gold. (By which I mean, I am consumed with lust, intellectually as well as physically. There's this one moment in the latest episode where she's asked Lix for a spare pair of stockings, and she gets so absorbed in their conversation that she just... stops... with her hand gripping her bare thigh and ngggggggggg. God. It's a small thing, but it hit me like a freight train.)
