*shamelessly chipping in* The lighting in TB is awful. I understand having too little money for nifty SFX (although... Alan Ball... Six Feet Under's daddy... hasn't he earned a proper budget, HBO...?), but that lighting! I could barely recognise the barbarian firecracker when that angelic, translucently pale boy showed up in the church, and not because of Allan Hyde's (admittedly great) acting. If the roof scene hadn't been so completely lovely, I'd have laughed my little head off, because Alexander Skarsgard's cheeks were as blue as his eyes and people, when that happens it's time to tone down the filters and, up the contrast.
