The thing is though I never shipped Athos/Milady before? like, to me Milady was awesome because she stood apart from the men, even those she has romantic/sexual encounters with, lbr she's one of the greatest villains in French lit — but then this happens and whooo boy. If no one writes angry hatesex for them I'm going to be very put out.

omg. THIS. 1920s Period piece with Ben&Romola, + Carey Mulligan & Meryl Streep, Abi Morgan as scriptwriter. I've been excited about this since this morning.
