I hope I can update like that every month with something to recommend to you girls.

First is a scanlated manga series called "Yume Musubi, Koi Musubi". One thing I love about yaoi is the repetitive patterns, and I love it even more when the mangaka manages to surprise me and break said patterns. YMKM is a perfect example of it; it's very refreshing to read, especially because the uke is, to say the least... quite unusual.

The main character is as clueless as any other uke, but he's nonetheless quite active (he kicks stalkers in the face), and speaks exactly whatever's on his mind: he's extremely direct, and that's just one of the many comedic triggers in this manga.
(side comment of ze fangirl: I also loved the fact that he gets easily aroused by the seme; that's not something very common in yaoi either.)

As a bonus, the side characters are all great, which is, according to me, the strongest point you can grant to a good manga.

The few chapters I've read left me yearning (the publishing of the manga isn't over yet); but even unfinished as it is, it's still an extremely lovely reading, very funny, well-written and the drawing style is quite acceptable.

"Yume Musubi, Koi Musubi" is available for download at Aarinfantasy and is being scanlated by Dangerous Pleasures.

The other recommendation of a month is a book, provided by my official yaoi dealer [personal profile] berylia: "Wicked Gentlemen" by Ginn Hale.

It's very well written and it's got me totally hooked to its charismatic characters and very unique universe; the only thing I hope right now is that there will be a sequel very soon.

You can read the first chapter here: http://www.blindeyebooks.com/wicked.html

Warning: even though you can read words like "demons" and "rare powers" in the summary, this is absolutely no Gary Stu stuff, you have my  word. In fact, it's completely the opposite

I'm sorry that my lack of english vocabulary makes my reviews so lame (and as the days go by my english gets poorer and poorer), but I do hope that somehow I can make you discover and enjoy a few real gems through them.

See you next month for more recommendations!

[edit] Also, I made a brand new banner! Yay! (^_____^)v
