I really ought to stop giving myself stupid ideas.

Sandman/BBC Sherlock crossover, because I said Sherlock resembled Dream when I drew him.

Sorry for the daily spamming people!

I don't know much about Sandman, but he's looking very Edgar Allan Poe here and that is pretty freaking cool. =)

Cool. I too don't know much about sandman and I do have to agree that he seems very Poe here.

Very nice! And, yes, somebody pointed out that Brandybuck Cucumberpatch would make a SUPERB choice of actor for Morpheus, were they to film 'The Sandman', and it is OMG SO TRUE.

Are you kidding me? Moriarty would be Desire! I mean, the suits! And the sexual ambiguity! Plus Desire totally wants to bang Dream. Or kill him. Or both. At the same time or in reverse order. And repeat. XD

I guess that leaves us with Mycroft as Death, but it doesn't really fit either; Death and Dream's relationship is nothing like Sherlock and Mycroft's. Maybe Mycroft would be more like Terry Pratchett's Death...? Mmmmh. Dunno.

Sandman is an incredible comic, really; I heartily recommend it, if you ever get the chance to read it. The drawing style is a bit (okay, A LOT, actually) hard to digest at the beginning, but then it gets better. And the whole series is absolutely entrancing. I think it's definitely the best thing Neil Gaiman's ever written.

OMG, it's a huge compliment that it makes you think of Poe! Thank you! ^^

Thank you darling! And, again, Sandman is a must-read; it has my stamp of approval allllll over. Plus, Dream is a sexy bastard. <3

Moriarty as Desire is eerily appropriate! Wow.

I think Mycroft is more Destiny. [livejournal.com profile] stupid_drawings's suggestion of John as Death definitely has merit, though I think I might go with "Anthea" as Death. She's cool, collected, and smiling as she is ordering people's assassinations or whatever it is she does on that phone.

great picture!
when I watched Study in Pink, I kept thinking how much Sherlock looks like Dream because he was so pale and tall. His voice was so deep (like how I imagine Dream's will be).
Gald to know i am not the only one that though so

It's a whole comics series actually! And it's utterly fascinating, best thing I've ever read from Neil Gaiman.

This is probably going to sound very ignorant but do you like buy the comics? Or is there like a place online or something to read?

Pour ce que j'en connais, ça m'a toujours beaucoup attirée. J'aime énormément l'ambiance des livres de Gaiman et Sandman me fascine. J'ai vraiment, vraiment envie/besoin de lire la série mais je n'ai pas le temps de les commander là, et ma carte va dire "mais tu t'es déjà achetée un cd et un dvd et et ..." shut it la carte. è_é;;
