I don't know much about Sandman, but he's looking very Edgar Allan Poe here and that is pretty freaking cool. =)

Sandman is an incredible comic, really; I heartily recommend it, if you ever get the chance to read it. The drawing style is a bit (okay, A LOT, actually) hard to digest at the beginning, but then it gets better. And the whole series is absolutely entrancing. I think it's definitely the best thing Neil Gaiman's ever written.
