sevenswellsSo one of the reasons I love my job so much is that I work with honest-to-god magicians (well female magicians, the precision here is important).
Under the cut is a step-by-step of the much dreaded page 8 from Mytho that Rachel vanquished like a boss -- but it did not go without a few tears of blood. The step-by-step from my point of view went like this:
1. ME: So he's in the subway, right, and then, BAM! Impressive view of the Capitoline City, full page, with a cool perspective from the train and everything. It'll be totally awesome.
RACHEL: Huh. Okay. Yeah. *terrified*
2. Rachel draws up the storyboard. It is very detailed, except page 8, which first looks like this:
ME: ... You do know you'll have to get down to it one day or another, right?
RACHEL: I KNOW, I KNOW, SHUT UP I HATE YOU LEAVE ME ALONE
3. Deadline approaches. So Rachel draws the page with a bit more precision.
Looking better already, but the view isn't exactly what could be called impressive. So she goes completely berserk on the damn thing while uttering numerous and varied curses at me and my stupid fucking ideas which make her life unnecessarily difficult and full of pain:
LIEK, HOLY SHIT. Right? But wait, then there's more:
RACHEL: Here's what it'll look like, more or less, I don't care if you don't like it, go fuck yourself
ME: *0*
KIRI: Good. You get to live another day. Maybe I'll make your death less painful than what I originally intended.
5. And now time to ink all that! Wheeee! \o/
RACHEL: You know what? Fuck what I said, you will still die choking with my hands around your stupid throat.
6. It's colouring time!
RACHEL: I HATE THIS, I HATE THIS, I HATE MYSELF, AND ABOVE ALL ELSE I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!
ME: Stop being such a drama queen, it's fucking fantastic! *0* I loooooooove it!
RACHEL: ...oh. Alright then. But never do this to me again, I'm serious.
ME: ...uuuuuh. Have you read the script for chapter 2 yet?
RACHEL: ...
