[FANART] Split Me Wide Open

etothepii 's Sherlock/Addams Family crossover fic today, Your Body Before Me, I felt some kind of resonance, and I just had to do a fanart (go read it, btw, it's truly fantastic stuff, I'm a huge fan of this author). Why I mainly do fanarts of weird/creepy stuff is a question I try not to ask myself too much.
The technique is gouache and watercolour pencils, the pairing is Sherlock/John. The rating is... mmmmh let's say R, because the fanart is still kind of weird; basically, it's Sherlock kissing John's severed head, but John isn't dead. Like I said, it's an Addams Family crossover, so John can't die just because his head isn't attached to his body. It's not very gory, though. I tried to draw something cute, actually.

Date: 2011-04-18 09:26 am (UTC)La fic est vraiment super chouette; vaut ptêt mieux lire les chapitres qui ont été écrits avant, mais c'est fou comme le type qui l'a écrit a mélangé les deux univers et fait en sorte que ça *marche*. C'est un excellent auteur qui déchire en crossovers, je ne peux que recommander.
Et, ouais, la famille Addams c'est super cool... Mercrediiiiiiii <3

I KNOW! But then again he would rock a potato bag, I think. I am personnally supporting the motion among the fans that Benedict should play an elf in The Hobbit. No need for make-up or anything. He just has to show up, and BAM! He's an elf.

Date: 2011-04-20 07:40 am (UTC)But I won't insist, don't worry; it's just that I never throw away any of my drawings, from the ones I actually like to the half-finished doodles and even the drawings I'm not even proud of, and they just keep piling up without me doing anything with them (and it's not like I can stop... T3T). So I figured, at least for the fanfic fanarts that I've painted using traditional technique, since I don't use it very often, I could give them to the original fic authors ^^ It's okay though, if anything I can understand the implications of leading a double life ;) Hell, if some people very close to me were to stumble upon most of the shit I do, I would have to answer to awkward questions...

This is neither of those. It's actually lovely and sweet beautiful.

3. I love how you've drawn John's feet, for some reason. They're just such simple yet accurate shapes (I'm a stickler for people getting legs and feet right).
